I’m watching the briefing. They’ve found 5 pieces, including the pressure hull in multiple pieces, suggesting a catastrophic implusion and meaning instantaneous death for the passengers. So at least they didn’t suffer and, according to one expert, wouldn’t have even known there was a problem.
That seems to be what is being implied, but not confirmed.

Could have been literally anything. Given the number of other ships moved into the area it could have easily been from one of them. They weren’t all Navy ship so wouldn’t of had a good silent routine.
Legislation, procedures, and approval processes “stifle innovation”. That may be true to an extent, but the intention then is that you prove your case for stepping outside of the norm. Cutting corners isn’t innovation.
It’s sad that it’s come to this, but he messed around and found out; shame he took others with him.
