It’s been taken down by the looks of it, I did however send a link to another staff member. Can clearly see that it came from the RAFAC page.
Would appear to be a RAFAC site though, so…presumably on our servers?
That’s a joke right… pathetic!
Didn’t have the options when I looked
Oh no, that’s the acceptable answers. It doesn’t give you options, it’s a box you type in. My point was that they accept the common misspelling.
My reading is that it would accept “Air”…
We’ve been doing internal companay inter-site meetings from our own ‘offices’ long before this load of crass govt imposed imprisonment BS.
Thankfully inter-company ones still involved all the benefits of travel, until recently and no one is bothering with them.
Oh and please desist from spouting the govt ear worm, it’s even more annoying Joe Dolce’s assault on aural senses and that takes some doing.
What? I literally have no idea what you’re trying to say.
Are you saying we should just not follow the government’s guidelines?
Just stop saying it, there’s no need. I’ve seen it on TV already this morning., thankfully I can mute the sound.
But I will be going to get my paper in a little while and if anything like the last couple of weeks, meet people … some will stop for a chat and others who will “cross the road” to avoid you. The latter is IMO the embryonic shape of things to come, as people have been made to be suspicious of other people.
Yep that’s the one.
My wife has really taken the top line and not really been out of the house, except for a couple of walks since they started banging on. I’ve been going to work on a rota, shopping and all the normal things.
You have to fear for the mental health of country the longer this goes on. I wondering about the number of divorces and if the NHS will be ready for a glut of births in the first half of next year, with people unusually cooped up. Thankfully I’ve got a garden, shed and garage to spend my days off in.
Good step by the Corps putting stuff out about this, but certainly a concern - being a big issue among young people already.
Those with gardens are certainly less likely to be affected in this weather, but there lots with very limited options.
In some ways this good weather is a blessing and a curse in this time - great if you can get out on it, not great if you can just see it out the window 99% of the day.
Will be interesting to see what organisations such as Mind (not forgetting what little is left of the NHS MH Services) down the line once this is over.
It’s why I think us being able to provide a degree of online provision (and why phrases such as “degree of normality” are true and important) is important - if only for those with the desire and ability to take advantage of it.
I’m seeing the same few cadets engaging with everything which is really nice to see but it does make me wonder about the others and how they’re getting on.
I imagine most are loving the extra time to do whatever they want but guess there are a few missing the social interaction. It’s the social interaction I think is most difficult to recreate with virtual parade nights because the staff can’t just wonder off and let the cadets have a chit chat.
We are focussing our current teams sessions on DofE as we want them all on a position that by September they just need to do Expeditions where possible. (Some will need Volunteering too).
This has allowed us to focus on smaller groups of Cadets and to do a “Smith, Jones & McDonald you all need to login on Monday night”, by doing it that way we are getting better take up on the nights from the ones that the session is aimed at.
Ran a Bronze cyber course yesterday via Teams - there is definitely something flat about not being able to award the cadets their badges now or at any point in the near future.
Can you run a few of those inviting the whole Corps please.
None been run in my wing for donkeys!
