and this is why i corrected “inappropriate” to “ignorant” - given Sellador has only been around for 2-3 years it is perhaps unsurprising they have not got the view many of those longer in the tooth do have.
Both of these are also true.
and taking into account what has happened in those two years - we had the last year of Tony, and the first of Big Al
The first year in the role, everything is new, and so hard to understand what is different and what is a change, and thus hard to comprehend what in Tony’s last 12 months were negative changes as everything was still very new.
As for year 2, based on the comments in here : A year of AL - how is the new CAC doing it is hard to suggest things have got worse still under his command. while it is a stretch to suggest there have been notable improvements i do feel there is has been a plateauing of moral due to changes for the negative in the last 12 months.
i think this perfectly describes how i am feeling, and where i place the organisation. i wouldn’t say it is a shadow of its former self, nor that it isn’t running on all cylinders, more than following a service (pandemic) the turbo has removed for “efficiency” and so while it can still reach “cruise” it takes a little longer and is at a slightly slower pace.
At the coal face, we’re doing well, and based on other’s recruiting figures Squadrons are doing well, but at the higher levels be it Wing, Region or HQ there seems to be an attitude of hindrance rather than support in my opinion - changes continue to benefit the CoC rather than the end customer (Cadets) or those delivering the service (CFAVS).
