Or behind the counter in a fast food joint
its a little bug bear of mineā¦
Gopping
Less glaring in MTP though with the dark brown boots kinda matching the uniform and black just being a bit darker.
Those sand boots just contrast completely with the blue.
The blue is awful, the baseball caps are awful, the whole thing is awful.
Nasty, gopping, hideous and deliciously impractical.
Coming soonā¦
Looks like an interment camp.
Baseball caps. NOPE.
blue camo or PCS. NOPE.
i am triggered by the completely gormless/bored expressions of all in that photo.
I appreciate it is a āparadeā and ceremonial occasion, but there isnāt even an āhead up, shoulder back, chest outā body language. the Cadets all look fed up
Yup. That is horrible.
I totally understand MTP/DPM camo for a purpose, and maybe even wearing that clothing at other times, but blue camo is meaningless unless you are trying to hide in a blue place.
The whole idea of blue camo is daft.
Some law enforcement agencies had grey camo or blue to match their blue uniforms and air forces seem to have copied it.
I can just about get the idea of a grey toned camo for urban areas, though I donāt know if it is much more effective than just plain black or grey for policing roles.
But the place where air force or naval personnel need camo is on the ground, so MTP/DPM/woodland.
And those baseball hats are just gash, sorry to any Aussie colleagues on here.
Going to be controversial, but I donāt mind them.
Yes, theyāre not as smart as berets, but they are more practical (especially for Australians who actually have sun). I wouldnāt be completely against them as a working dress addition.
Looks like one of our recruit nights
I can see them as part of No3a (think they are already permitted - certainly worn at RIAT).
I could see 3a replacing No2 dress, if they come up with a decent long sleeve/colder weather option.
I agree, I have a hatred of hats so if you are going to make people wear one they might as well be practical.
āRIAT dressā was worn long before 3a was a thing. Probably the usual case of do it long enough and itāll become allowed (and RAF influences)
Iām not a great fan of baseball caps generally, with the exception of the 2nd pattern Vietnam era US Army hot weather capā¦ As seen here worn by Westmoreland.
The front stiffener gives it a bit more shape.
But itās got nothing on that Slouch has it?
Got to love the slouch hatsā¦
Aussie staff wear the Slouch hats
