Ideal RAFAC Uniform

AAFC at Nijmegen. All have slouch hats. Very smart but a PITA to carry.

I recall an RAAF officer auctioning his blue one in 2006, he was offered a LOT of money by the yanks for it.

Not sure the sunglasses on the right help either

I think that that is a little harsh.

Some of the cadets look smarter than others, I agree, but looking at the photo, it looks like everyone is stood to attention. Given the size of the parade, and the fact that the staff appear to be just starting to inspect the second flight, god only knows how long they had been stood like that. If those cadets in the foreground have been at attention for more than a few minutes, then no wonder that their demeanour has relaxed/transitioned to bored!

I’ve decided, it’s not being tucked in that makes it bad. Forgivable from all other aspects otherwise

They are lightweight jackets. Why would you tuck a jacket it…???

Still think that all cadet forces should wear MTP only. Would make life easier.

I think for my sqn for the forseeable it will be mtp only…

The cadets have outgrown their blues… The supply chain is not fit for purpose and as a result we won’t see replacement blue uniform for at least 6 months…

So just make MTP the norm

A agree.

My plan is to do 4 weeks in civvies concentrating on social and fun activities, and then switch to MTP. Given that some orders have taken upwards of 6 months to be completed before Covid, I’m not hopeful that we’ll be in blues before next year.

I find this amusing as our CCF has just moved from the stereotype of parading in MTP most of the time to predominately blue. Our recent uniform order took three weeks to fulfill (would have been quicker but our TEST SNCO was on holiday and couldn’t collect it from the station), maybe now is a good time to get your orders in whilst there is a lull.

Sending my order this week.

Giving the little ones time to fill out the online form to order it!

I was told no supply to ATC (including staff) from parent station before Covid. No info to say that has changed.

Will probably keep what blues stock we have for Cadets attending Wing or Region blues activities and make it MTP for Squadron nights.
