Nope.
Thereâs good beer and Dominoâs!
And @AlexCorbin Bornem is even flatter than Nijmegen - and itâs just one dayâs walking as opposed fourâŚ
Some people even managed to complete it in 10 hours. You could be back on the sofa sipping beer and watching football by 7am!
The people who run Dodentocht scare me. 10km/h for 10h straightâŚ
Iâll still to my strategy of âfinish in 24hâ.
Bloody hell! I struggle to do 5km/h for 6 hours
What if I told you that it takes them at least 10 hours ONLY because the finish doesnât open until start+10?
Each to their own. Iâll certainly be in the âwalkingâ participants.
Is everyone ready for WARMA? I shall be there on Saturday only for the 40km route. Been eyeing the weather and it looks like itâll be relatively okay.
Donât mention the R*** word.
See you there
Iâve supported the RAFWARMA for a number of years - every year I pack my thermals, waterproofs, sun hat, suncream - never have a clue what it will actually do.
Youâll spot me wearing my oversized grey sun hat! Iâm as pale as a piece of paper so even the slightest bit of sun and Iâm burning.
I keep looking for an in-budget way to get over for this year. This was the cheapest option, and itâs certainly somethingâŚ
The return leg being almost as crazyâŚ
So I might have to give it a miss.
Listen to Papa Palpatine
What on earth did you list as your options? Four or more connections & no more than $50?
I moaned when my previous company came u with a magic plan to get fme from Cardiff to Luton:
Cardiff - Bristol - taxi.
Bristol - Jersey - airline.
Jersey - London City - airline.
London City - Luton - company limo.
Total planned time - about 12 hrs. I elected to self-drive a rental car - took me about 3:45 with a quick coffee stop, very nice BMW with 50 miles on the clock.
However, peanuts compared to Lima onwards!
LIM > AMS - cheapest flights available. And yet these will still outside my budget and would cost me almost 4 days in travel!
Donât suppose you have any very kind colleagues at KLM whoâd let me hog the jump seat on the direct flightâŚ?
Was quite surprised by the turnout at WARMA this year. Seemed pretty dead for 90% of the walk. Only on the canal was there another team to chat to.
About 550 in total - including civilians.
Hi , could you guys please tell me if there are any other marches in the UK that provide military like medals other than the following: rafwarma, pathfinder , waendel, the forces march, thank you
Talking to one of the volunteers at the end, they said a lot of the RAF teams missed the Nijmegen deadline so didnât bother turning up to WARMA. Was a bit of an anticlimax it being so quiet tbf.
Yeah - it sometimes if the case where regular teams not selected for Nijmegen then drop out of RAF 2-Day as well. It was a shame for only 1 RAF team to be at the RAF 2-Day march.
