Think I heard total attendance was around 11K, so there weren’t many!
Still sounded good on the radio though.
Noting to get excited about they are doing something they want to do and getting paid a King’s ransom to do, so this is what we should expect. We’ve won 2 knock out games that’s all. Let’s win the final before we get carried away. Currently they’re all on for MBEs. Win and roll out the knighthoods.
Last night was the first game I’ve watched and got my crossword book out after 10 minutes.
Wasn’t exactly edge of the seat, unlike watching Emma Raducanu earlier in the day. That’s what you want watching sport something heart quickening and feeling good at the outcome. Unlike watching11 blokes who kick a ball around, then run a bit who have eventually managed to win a couple of games. If the Ukranians had scored first, you couldn’t see the passion in any one of the English team to run themselves into the ground to get a win.
One of the teachers an avid follower of football said that Tuesday was the best chance we’re likely to get against the Germans and if we can’t get to final based on who was still in, sack 'em all and get any match fees, hotel bills etc off of them.
