Just curious what people’s thoughts are on the Functional Operating Model?
I was nervous going into it after seeing it happen as a cadet in SW (cough cough The Beginning of the End - The Capitulation of SW Region ), but WW seems to have gone through it quite positively?
I don’t have much Rgnl level contact however, so partially curious on the thoughts of OCs who’ve lost a single point of contact in the form of a WExO that they could develop a personal working relationship with?
SW’s major issues weren’t a result of the model directly, but of circumstance.
Severe shortages forced acceleration into the model, and surged workloads for those in it once implemented.
Then even more people went off.
Going through all of that was a nightmare, and I wonder if there were lessons learned that affected the next roll-out…
SW is ironing itself out now though, seems to be getting structure and routine
It’s working better.
But to the original question, I do miss the personal touch and that was one of my initial concerns.
Not an OC but it seems to have gone smoothly. Things are still working as expected, can’t say I’ve noticed any difference TBH, just speaking to different people.
