I thought my scales were modern, because they have a digital LCD readout rather than a needle …

New parkrun venue this morning, somehow setting off to head to Bushy and ending up in Woolwich instead…

This course was really fun. Starting within the old Woolwich Arsenal, it’s a mix of tarmac, trail, a little bit of mud and a Curly Wirly!

Go up the Curly Wirly, around the top, then back down the Curly Wirly!

Would be happy to recommend this course to anyone in/visiting London.

I’ve really knackered my knee. My kid was absolutely belting it around junior park run yesterday and I couldn’t do the full distance without the pain returning.

My running route is flooded.

On the other hand, the pub is warm, dry and showed the rugby

We had parkrun HQ visit us today to do some filming (BBC were due to be there too, but pulled out last minute).

Of course, my parents and I were chosen by the volunteering team to speak to the cameras due to my parents health & weight loss stories…

I appreciate it’s only a month but honestly food noise stopped almost overnight. Tonight I had less than half a dinner I usually would. Had one glass of wine which hits like 3 would normally but if anyone is on the fence (@AlexCorbin - just do it!)

What are you doing that is causing the weight loss?

Mounjaro

Not bad given I’m skiing with a broken rib, and started pretty late today! :joy:

Big day today. Neproxen off of the doctor really seems to work well!

(This is the only fitness I do so I’ll keep sharing)

Garmin finally allowed me to do a tempo run today for the first time this year… which rapidly became a threshold run instead because pacing is for wimps.

But it was nice to put the tempo shoes on again and putting some speed down. Still weird not to have redeveloped the top-end push again yet, but happy that will come back with time.

The Berkley Marathons are currently underway. Some nut job has gone out on lap 3 without any shoes on…

I find that race strangely appealing yet absolutely barking mad!

Parkrunday.

I was a pacer last week, so had to hold my effort back. But between my last effort 2 weeks ago and today’s effort, I’ve managed to drop about 1:30 off my time.

New fastest time since returning from Peru now sits at 23:12. Going to go into a training block for a couple of months now and target that pesky 20 minute barrier.
