I dont think i could even get out of bed in that time.
I screwed my knee last week, so put off running this week. Feel like a write off ha

I hear you. When I get wee niggles, it reminds me how good I had it when I didnât have any niggles, but didnât appreciate it at the time.
We do need to say good luck to @OC.1324 taking on the iconic Great North Run tomorrow (which is live on the BBC, donât forget, in case you want to spot an ACC regular).
Looks like the weather will be nice!
Number 12825!
Ive put in my bid for next years ballot and also signed up for the Stockholm 1/2 next year.
What an event.
I got swept along until mile 11 making some great progress, then suddenly I could feel myself grinding down as that long incline started.
Legs are in bits!
That last hill before you get to the coast is a killer!
Youâre not wrong.
And then that really steep decline immediately afterwards⌠I never pass on free speed, but crikey that was tough too.
I was expecting the Runna app to proactively tell me I needed to consider getting new trainers. Seems like Iâm due!
Gotta do it again - incorrect medal design! ![]()
Great North Run medals show Sunderland instead of Newcastle - BBC News
Unfortunately, following this morningâs run, itâs quite clear Iâve done myself some damage.
After about a mile or so, it felt as though the top inside of my calf was being stabbed by live electrical wires each time there was tension through the muscle.
What I also learnt, however, was that thereâs no-one more oblivious than a London pedestrian.
Smashed (and im genuinely suprised owing to a lack of practice) a sub 2:00:00 - 1/2 Marathon.
Tomorrow is going to be painful
Thereâs something truly cheeky about going sub-2hrs when you havenât trained for it.
Good luck! ![]()
To clarify it was today⌠im just anticipating being stiff tomorrow⌠but thanks!
Stockholm 1/2 booked for next year⌠but i should probably do more than 1 a year
any recommendations?
Humber Bridge Half is nice.
Halloween Half Marathon in Worksop: Event Information | Worksop Harriers Athletic Club
Itâs a cracking route through Clumber Park, club-organised cheap run at only ÂŁ35 & comes with a cheeky medal and t-shirt both related to Halloween.
Seconding what @OC.1324 said, a sub-2 without proper training is a great run. Youâre actually only 5 mins off my PB and I did train for that!
I always feel bad knowing you follow me on Strava and see all my meager 10km runs
Right back on it tomorrow.
Boss lady is on the wegoovy jabs tomorrow as part of a trial for it treating IBS so that means im on a diet.
Might get back running in a week or two
It doesnât matter to me whether you run 4:00/km or 24:00/km, nor whether you run for 5km or 500km - running is running and Iâll cheer anyone whoâs trying.
Plus, at the minute, Iâm fairly sure youâre quicker than me anyhow. Not sure I could even completely a half right now, let alone sub-2.
