I dont think i could even get out of bed in that time.

I screwed my knee last week, so put off running this week. Feel like a write off ha

I hear you. When I get wee niggles, it reminds me how good I had it when I didn’t have any niggles, but didn’t appreciate it at the time.

We do need to say good luck to @OC.1324 taking on the iconic Great North Run tomorrow (which is live on the BBC, don’t forget, in case you want to spot an ACC regular).

What an event.

I got swept along until mile 11 making some great progress, then suddenly I could feel myself grinding down as that long incline started.

Legs are in bits!

That last hill before you get to the coast is a killer!

And then that really steep decline immediately afterwards… I never pass on free speed, but crikey that was tough too.

I was expecting the Runna app to proactively tell me I needed to consider getting new trainers. Seems like I’m due!

Unfortunately, following this morning’s run, it’s quite clear I’ve done myself some damage.

After about a mile or so, it felt as though the top inside of my calf was being stabbed by live electrical wires each time there was tension through the muscle.

What I also learnt, however, was that there’s no-one more oblivious than a London pedestrian.
