No surprises.
Lots of publicity and marketing gimmicks from them previously.

Yeah I was going to say I saw Staffs Wing banging on about Staffs Wing masks on Facebook the other day.

How did the holding up of the stage coach go?

Such as?

Such as.

‘Cadet training system’ all labelled up with staffs wing all over it.

That’s a marketing gimmick!

Considering the contents is online via staffs google drive . Why print the whole lot as well?

The ‘cadet training system’ is just a glossed up version of the classification material. Some would argue a cynical RIP off of Corps material with staffs wing badge chucked on it all.

Whist we’re on it. Why is that sort of stuff allowed to be held on a Google drive? Dont we have sharepoint for that sort of thing.

Oh and I see OC staffs wing bleating on about staffs wing masks for all their cadets on twitter.

If that isn’t a marketing gimmick… what is!

Besides. Point is, why did we all get the spam email about masks? From a company run by staff in staffs wing! Outrageous.
Bader emails aren’t there to advertise for personal gain.

I hope others have sent appropriate feedback up the CoC.

Oh and welcome back threaders…:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s very useful to have the content printed as well; if a squadron has a poor internet connection, or very few computers, or cadets (or instructors) who learn better when they are able to scribble all over the content with their own notes.

And the Staff Wing CTS is the inspiration behind the new handbooks that are being written up for each classification subject, it’s the same person expanding what they did corps wide.

Just goes to show, have a good idea and implement it well then those higher up might take notice and support it to happen nationally.

Or perhaps they created the content for Staffs Wing and are also giving access, as-is, to anyone else who wants it?

Some could try to argue that, but frankly, anything which presents the information in a better way that the junk on sharepoint is a winner; and anything created to satisfy the training requirements is, by that very nature, going to contain much of the same content. That doesn’t make it a “rip-off”.

Bader emails are there so that people in the Corps can be easily contacted.
If a company has a product to offer which might be of interest to the whole Corps then why shouldn’t they contact those potential customers?
It’s an email address - not some secret society, internal only, special contact list.

If someone isn’t interested they can just delete the email - just as most of us do with all the other junk mail from various “army surplus” stores.

I can’t fathom why you’re making such a fuss over this.

‘Cadet Training System’ was made by a Staffs Wing CFAV who spent literally 100’s of unpaid hours creating something to benefit Squadron’s across the Corps - I wouldn’t begrudge someone leaving a Staffs Wing branding on it - afterall it was a Staffs Wing thing by a Staffs Wing CFAV not a Corps thing.

Held on Google Drive because ease of access I would imagine?

OC Staffs posting about masks…and? An OC Wing proud of something in his Wing, imagine that…

…good to be back.

because SharePoint is a difficult system to access???

It’s not sensitive info either. Some units host similar (not behind a members’ wall) on websites.

But is it policy?

FWIW CCFs email addresses were also spammed, and they are rather less easy to guess than ATC ones (as they don’t contain the name of the CCF unit, just a ‘T’ number which isn’t guessable).
