However FP2 being delayed means I didn’t have to get up as early. Silver lining and all that.
Hopefully they allow Ferrari and Alpine some concessions on parts with this being outside of their control.
Seems like they are looking to run FP2 at 0200/0230 local time. Long day for those involved!
This in a country which welds down its manhole covers of the President comes to town (and expects foreign countries he visits to do the same).

From what I read, the covers were welded down as is required, but the force of the car lifted the whole outer frame up too, concrete included!
Yeah, they were saying the concrete failed and it was the whole assembly that came up not just the cover.

Mercedes have definitely disappointed this year, hopefully after getting rid of the zero side pod concept, next year will be better!
Good for Ferrari though, good to see a 1-2! Still annoyed about the 10 place grid penalty for Sainz, that is out of order
Shame it’s taken them until the last couple of races to get really good again though!

Definitely! The one time they get things right, the FIA and stewards get it wrong
I hope they get rid of the penalty before the race, but I just can’t see it happening
My understanding was that the rules were pretty solidly written so the stewards have no choice in the matter?

Lando was saying in some of the build up, “The track is worse than it’s been all weekend” could be an interesting run into T1
