Yeah, not sure I agree with that TBH.
It’s to serve his penalty so it’s not carried on to the next race.

If you’ve pulled the car into the garage, that’s it you’re out.

This makes no sense to me at all, it’ll be interesting to see what is said afterwards!

I don’t think Perez should have done that, hopefully the rules get changed for future years. He’s got out of the car as well.

Honestly I don’t think anything will be said about it. If anything at all they will just confirm yeah they did nothing wrong. But agree it shouldn’t be allowed, if the car is pulled into the garage that’s it you’re out.

Ted has said this looks to be acceptable at the moment but the rules will be changed next year.

Got the notebook saved for me to watch later.
Was nice to see Oscar getting his first podium

Looking Dusty in Qatar!

Lance not the happiest chap in the paddock

Very much not!
Some rumours going round his dad is looking to sell his shares in the team, could be on the way out.

Well he bought it to make his son world champion and he can’t even get a podium, while his team mate is showing the car is capable.

If Aston get rid of Stroll who do they get to partner Alonso?

Yes yes Well done Max

WELL DONE OSCAR!! Excellent race from him
Looks like the sand caused a few issues for some and the soft tyres while racey not lasting too long.

Succeeded in not hearing a thing about the race until I was able to ‘download’ it, which I’ve just finished watching. Interesting rule on the tyres not exceeding 17 laps or so. What happened with Hamil’Who’

Yeah, I understand from a safety point of view mandating the number of laps on each set of tyres but just seems to have cause other issues. Most the drivers saying it was like a constant quali session just pushing the whole time.
Maybe Pirelli could have “recommended” a stint length and it was down to the teams to decide how long to run on them.

At least he’s admitted fault for the incident, George really didn’t have anywhere to go and drove an excellent recovery afterwards to get back up to P4

These are supposed to be the best drivers in the world, with some of the greatest designers, engineers and strategists in sport. If they can’t work out between them how long a tyre should last the. They have no business being in the paddock. The FIA should divorce themselves from the actual operation of races and focus on the admin.

This was a Pirelli issue, not a team or driver one. They realised these tyres were not fit for purpose, and had to impose the limit for safety.

That’s my understanding of the issue anyway.

Yeah it was Pirelli who mandated the 18 lap limit. I completely understand why they did it, just would it rather not have been mandated so it didn’t put most the teams on the same strategy.

The bigger issue is how many of the drivers seemed to have suffered in the race,
Logan retiring with illness, Ocon throwing up in his helmet and a few struggling to get out the cars and going the med centre. Hopefully it being later in the season next year means it’s not as bad.

Fingers crossed for his first win

That would be the dream! Sad to see Piastri having to retire the car though after that hit.

Yeah that is a shame. Glad he make it back to the pits, avoid the safety car for Lando
