He’s out now, taken out on stretcher to Ambulance but Alfa repotting he’s ok
Apparently they’re now dealing with protestors on the track… Not sure if that’s before or after. Glad to hear Zhou is out and ‘okay’.

Yeah, not sure how I feel on that. The rules are very set that if you don’t/can’t drive back to the pit on a red then you can’t restart. It looks like he’d have struggled, but not impossible. The fact he clearly only stopped to help, and wasn’t forced to stop makes me think they should make an exception here. If it’s not destroyed, let them fix it!
Interestingly there’s some photos on twitter of how the Zhou’s car ended up. Properly wedged between the tyres and the fence. Seems like the car must have flown over the tyres, then hit the fence, then fallen in the gap.

I’m with you on the allowing George to restart, if he genuinely stopped out of concern for Zhou I think at least warrants a discussion than a flat no. Might just have been couldn’t have restarted the engine or the marshals recovered it anyway.
Yep, seen it now! Holy hell that was a proper mess. I’m also now amazed that fence is allowed to be so low, with an even lower tyre wall in front of it!! He literally flipped over the tyres and the fence took the full force. Then the poor guy was left completely stuck in the small gap in-between.

Yeah, not much grip when you’re just scraping metal! I really do recon there will be fence-height changed after this, that was so bloody close to going really really bad.
Also, they spoke about the protestors. They got right on the track just after the start. Sounds like if there wasn’t a crash they would have had to red flag it any way as they were literally sitting on the track… Bloody death wish!
