I hope its just a coincidense that after Checo had a, “chat” with his team about having to let Max past that he won. And that it isnt a case of letting him win to keep him happy.

I think that is the case, however the team radio with Max at the end was something along the lines of “the man who needed the points got them”
Indeed, he was pushing hard towards the end too, would have loved to have seen a last minute lunge around the chicane but reckon he will be happy with those points and actually finishing a race!
It’s Danny Ric I think who needs to be watching his back now, listing to some of the comments going around I’d be surprised if he’s racing with McLaren next season…
Watching back on Ted’s Notebook, apparently they had power issues just before the start with took out the grid lights. Thats also why they did a rolling start as they weren’t confident that they would work.
Does seem strange that something so critical to the race start doesn’t have a backup power source.
It sounds like they had power issues throughout the race! The sky sports presenters were talking about all their screens going down so they couldn’t actually see what was going on. This happened just as they were watching the reply of Ver exciting the pit lane 
And thats where the did/didn’t he cross the line argument start.

A Russell, Norris podium would do wonders for my fantasy team. If Charles or Carlos could be up there too even better!
There was a report earlier in the week that actually some support staff at Merc are (very quietly) confident that they might have turned a corner and they’ll be competitive this weekend. Could be interesting.
