Interesting to see Vettel a little higher in the rankings, I wonder if he will slowly break the top 10 with race pace as the car improves.
Mclaren are definitely showing that they are a competitive team this year.
They (almost) always produce a good chassis, the engine has been their issue in the last decade. Now they’re back to Merc power and Merc power is the best out there, they’re showing their true form. Good to see.
I loved F1, Vettel winning all the time started to get stale 
now seeing Hamilton winning all the time is getting stale. Love seeing the youngsters battling and making racing interesting again. Was an eye opener to see Russell out front in Hamilton’s car but with him being in a slow Williams I kinda forgot he actually was a decent driver

They keep changing rules to make it more even yet Merc’s are still out front…ok maybe McLaren have found a gear along with a few other teams but, when it comes to the Friday I’m excited for the weekend but by the end of Sunday I’m thinking I could have done something more productive and entertaining 
I bet the one weekend I miss will be the best in many a year, and I was out in the garden pulling weeds and putting more fence paint on the fence, grass and myself

Mercedes just isn’t a great car for slower tracks.
Great to see Red Bull at the top of the manufacturer standings. That will be hurting Mercedes.
I know Monaco is historic, but with the size of the cars it’s just nonsensical to continue racing there.
I did chuckle at the various clips people have put together of Hamilton having a meltdown mid race 
So apparently we aren’t allowed a bit of racing after all of today’s penalties!!
Great drive by Lando though still nipping on the heels of P2 Bottas at the end, great improvement over last week.

Was a great drive by Lando and I agree the penalties were a joke, if you round the outside you should expect to have the other drive take the racing line.
Turning out to be a really good season so far. Do we think the upgrades Mercedes will bring to Silverstone will see them dominate again?
No I think Merc will tinker for Silverstone but they are done for the year - obviously Lewis is happy with what he has seen for the next 2 yrs to be happy to sign a new contract
I think Red Bull saw an opportunity and went for broke on this year and will pay for it next…
The problem was that after the first one, they had to keep dishing them out!
Let’s hope the drivers get to ask for more racing and less penalties in their drivers meet before Silverstone!

So how do we think Sprint Quali will go today?
Was nice to see George getting into Q3 again, getting some speed out of that Williams.
I think some may go all out, while those at the front will be risk adverse, midfield battle for me.
Agreed, top 3-4 just defending trying to keep place.
Middle of the pack where they have much less to lose by attacking.
Looking forward to the sprint race. Christian Horner said earlier they’ll try and get a place from the start but otherwise he doesn’t think there will be much overtaking up front.
Indeed, can’t see the front runners being too aggressive.
Too much to loose if they damage anything and get a penalty swapping parts.
