EAW Concept for MTP Patches with Sqn No

No. it goes against the no more than 4 badges policy and would be too ACF. (Their panels look ridiculous and most be evil to sew.)
In what way do they look ridiculous? Given the option of blanking plate or badges for wearing qual badges I think the blanking plate looks much neater.

I don’t believe they are evil to sew at all. Some people appear to have kittens at the though of sewing through velcro but I just us a thimble…
My sewing machine makes sewing onto the blanking pannels a breeze… :stuck_out_tongue:

It looks better with the new small badges. Our dress regs don’t allow multiple badges from each group*, it is 1 only. You cannot have more than 1 first aid badge, more than one shooting badge (weapon flash and marksman badge do count as a single badge) etc. We probably have more badge groups than you though.

*The exception to this is group 7 which is basically the group for all the badges that didn’t fit into the other categories.

My mother gave the family sewing machine to my sister… :frowning:

This looks good, but why do we need it? We are a Blue Organisation. Few people are scaled for No.3 dress, so surely we should not bother.

Just keep to Sqn ID Numbers on Brassards

Nah, let’s just go the whole Regiment and bring back these:

i would have thought that the ACO being a blue organisation rather than a green one was more than reason enough to attempt to ‘blue up’ DPM/MTP, particularly when it is worn in the public eye. how many times have cadets, wearing DPM/MTP in the public eye, been confused by the public with the Army cadets despite RAF blue berets, RAF stable belts, (utterly lame) ACO TRF’s? it appears the public need even more help, so why not give it to them?

also of course, brasards don’t fit on CS95 or PCS clothing, that with not having a epaulette to hang off or having big pockets in the way…

there might only be a few hundred (no idea…) in the ACO who are scaled for it, but some 45,000 wear it reasonably regularly…

I’ve said it before. It’s a waste of time. The public see Camo, think Army. No matter how much we make ourselves look like christmas trees in the process. The general public don’t have the eye for detail on a uniform which people who have served do. So short of plastering the words AIR CADETS across our backs and down our arms in massive letters they just can’t see the difference.

(and even then I still think they wouldn’t notice.)
