So, this has now been asked on VoV. Interestingly WORAFAC doesn’t know of any officers who have been measured up since before the pandemic! Apparently a backlog of approx 350.
Well this escalated.
I think im really lucky i live a stones throw from tuner virr where the no1s are tailored.
I’ve made noises along with others after hearing positive story’s here…

More interestingly is that actually a lot of my wing’s COVID appointed officers have had their tailor’s appointments and received their No. 1s despite living 1h 30+ from our parent station (RAF Odiham). Seems to be very dependent on your wing contacts if you can get in for fittings which is probably why its not being fed back up to HQ
If this is the case, it might be a good idea to go to VoV and mention this to WORAFAC. This information clearly isn’t making its way back up to HQ…
That’s interesting, as I reached out to IBN Contact @HQAC and he said the following … For MOD Contract I required to put a uniform order via your parent unit. Without that order number you cannot booked an appointment with Turner Virr for an MOD Contract uniform.
I have over 300 uniforms orders to request on various parent units due to COVID.
So wander how the example of the wing is organising this when it needs to be done centrally or kicked off centrally at HQAC
HQAC have the list of who needs them. Its the virtual IOC lot however This is no where near an HQAC problem…
The complexity is each Stations stores work independently, theres system changes, mixture of contracted and RAF run all with the change management process they are undergoing with No consistent approach.
So creating a plan to navigate all that isnt as simple just issue them. Couple that with supply chain issues (i.e. theres zero No1sd hats in the chain at the moment), actual IOT Cadets still requiring initial issue, who are more important than us.
It appears some stores are being proactive but it appears to be an anomaly. Unfortunatly people will just need to be patient, it’ll happen when it’ll happen.

I spoke to Logs 1 at the back end of last year and he said that an official supplier of No1 uniform should have been announced back in December. No idea who they gave the contract to though.
I was told who when i was at Odiham in Nov…but cant remember for the life of me who it was
