Coronation of King Charles III

I think you might need a copy of AP 3327 to answer this one…

Not him though!

Unfortunately…

Never the plan for them to be in 1s.

There is an unhealthy obsession with 1s and Medals in this organisation lately it seems.

It would be interesting to know how much the organisation spends on 1s and what we could buy with that (MTP for staff as a starter for 10)

My guess would be that the 1s come from the general RAF No1 uniform budget rather than RAFAC budget so in true public sector siloed budget style we wouldn’t get the money to spend on MTP instead sadly.

Gliders?

Well it should have been. It’s the Kings coronation after all. Second best uniform is just that, second best.
I will bet my house on the fact that there are at least 48 sets of No.1’s on shelves in stores across the country, not being used today.

There’s always been an obsession with medals, not just lately!

I’ve been thinking about this & disagree. No 1 yes for key roles, Lord Lts, banner bearers etc

But for the air cadet contingent marching wedgewood blues I feel will actually be a good thing as it will every clear to everyone that they are cadets & not a regular military squad but a youth organisation.

It will allow the cadets to show off their brassards & highlight the differences to everyone watching.

Anyone else bored of the BBC’s coverage so far?

Thank God I have parkrun shortly.

Well my view of the Military Route Liners going out on Parliament Sq has been fantastic, even if the pipers did interrupt my briefing.

Its on. But I’m sorting my kid’s clothes, breakfast, etc.

I’ll watch the key points throughout the day.

I mean, they’re basically filling dead air until something interesting happens which (aside from the route liners appearing) is nothing until about 10:00.

I’m surprised they started coverage so early.

It’s not like there’s a lot else to do.

All the best to everyone on duty today. Hope it goes without any dramas!
