I can’t see a Lord Lieutenant brassard on our blue suit.
And they aren’t a CWO… So would they be scaled for No1s?
Not saying it’s right. Damn right wrong really, but could this be a case of line managers not sanctioning because they don’t fit the letter of 1358? Or hopefully the logistics of the uniform hasn’t caught up with her.
As a cadet corporal, I was issued No. 1s to attend a funeral.
They will issue No. 1s to cadets for specific purposes, such as a coronation, but I strongly suspect there are none available in stock given current logs problems.
AFAIK no cadets are scaled for it at all. Those cadets who I’ve known of that have had reason to wear it (LL and/or JL) have had to beg/borrow/steal etc.
ACP1358 certainly would allow this cadet to wear 1s. The wording being:
Individual cadets nominated to attend Special Functions or ceremonies where No 1 SD Uniform is considered the appropriate standard of dress. Authority for these individuals is to be sought from the following; for National Events, COS AC through Logs 1b RAFAC HQ, all other events the appropriate Regional Comdt or Wg Cdr CCF RAFAC HQ for CCF (RAF) sections.
Also just being a CWO, as you’ve suggested, doesn’t meet the criteria to be wearing 1s even if they were a CWO
Oh please tell me the authorisation email is not sat in an email inbox somewhere unread due to a combination of annual leave & reply all emails about a muster….
And liked bikes? @Horriblelittletechie I didn’t realise that’s who you meant when you said your old OC! Surprised he joined another cadet force after leaving ours…
That’s pretty impressive then I really do hope our cadet representation has been kitted out with some 1s to match our counterparts. If not, someone definately joked on here a while ago us ending up being the only ones not in 1s!
If my experience of using the Corps Banner is anything to go by, she’ll have to go and collect it herself, sign for it in triplicate, then return it the next day without fail…
