Could be interesting to see how groups of Wagner react either way; they were far more loyal to Prigozhin than to Putin.
If they do believe that Prigozhin was assassinated by Russian authorities, I wonder if they still have enough centralised coordinating abilities to make their disquiet known.
Ukraine are claiming that some Wagner convoys are heading through Belarusian territory toward Russia, with Belarusian special forces attempting to stop them. They’re citing pro-Ukrainian Belarusian assets.
Reading that report, I’m not sure that the pilot was going rogue. Sounds more like the controller may have been, deliberately using ambiguous language to cover his backside if the Kremlin disagreed with his decision.
“You have your target” is a fairly ominous statement.
