Been there, done that!
Heres a thought.
Could Zelensky be smart enough to know russias military is broken and then get the Wagner group on side at the right time…just a thought.
He could just be sat there, with intelligence coming in from NATO, waiting for the Russian front line to slowly become reduced from troops being moved back into Russia, then is the time to strike and move forward to the border and no more.
I always find amusing that that is one of the most recognisable filming locations purely by the highly recognisable toilets
Whenever they show up in something I like telling my wife that I’ve had a wee there!
They are in the chain, but it’s hard to go that route when the opposition is in Moscow.
Love the film but don’t recognise the bogs?
Freemasons Hall on Great Queen Street. Technically the whole building is a war memorial for WW1
Ah, I definitely have been for a pee there then!
Ah but did Georgies eyes follow you around the crapper?
Well, that was a little anticlimactic, wasn’t it?
A deal has been struck, Putin’s former chef who in no way looks like Gollum is moving to Belarus and Wagner troops are withdrawing.
Putin has offered MOD contracts to Wagner troops, and none of them will be prosecuted.
I really can’t see anyone doing so. From what I’ve seen morale is pretty high within the Wagner group. They have had good supplies throughout the Ukraine invasion, and been generally well looked after. It’s probably why they were so hard to fight against for the Ukrainians.
Why would someone in that situation, go and join the Russian MoD?
Well, who’s going to pay them now?
Wagner seemed to be pretty much centred around one man, who is now in exile and not trusted by the authorities.
From the Kremlin’s perspective, they won’t want to keep the group together either, as it’s shown what a threat it can be, so I’d expect they would now withdraw any Wagner contract.
I assume this deal may have something to do with it?
Maybe The Wagner Group bosses deal with Lukashenko involved paying them? Maybe we’ll go full circle and Wagner+Lukashenko will team up against Putin? That could get exciting
I think there’s a greater chance of Putin shouting “Slava Ukraine” than of Lukashenko turning against Putin.
But that’s not to say I wouldn’t love to see it!
Very interesting & very unusual - Constant Phoenix WC-135R - from Chania to Mildenhall today - it’s an atmospheric sample collection aircraft. Hope it’s not needed!
Had that as a secondary role on Vulcans with very basic pods added underneath the wings. The photo is taken from this link, & whilst “digitally produced” shows one pod (modified Sea Vixen drop tank, waste not, want not! ) very clearly. Fly though contaminated airspace & collect the radioactive dust!
Who doubted this would happen? Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin presumed dead after Russia plane crash - BBC News
Real shame. I had a bet on that it would be defenestration.
I’m sure there will be a proper investigation, and they will find it was an innocent accident…
