UK version is air launched. What platform is going to be used? If UKR aircraft, who’s paying for conversion
Saying we’ll give you something is big words but it’s the add-ins that cost just as much
I read they’ll be launched form UKR aircraft, that are already compatible to launch them.
I’d look at the previous inventiveness of the Ukrainians for the answer, as well as our own history.
They’ve integrated HARM onto MiG-29’s, old MiG-29’s.
They put a rocket onto SDB’s and made it a ground launched platform.
They put Brimstone onto a Hilux.
In the dim, distant past, we integrated Sidewinder onto Nimrod over a long weekend, we integrated Martel onto Victor (it didn’t work in the end, it got too cold at cruising altitude), we integrated Skrike onto Vulcan, and Paveway into Harrier GR3. On a carrier…
We shouldn’t judge was is possible by looking at our bloated procurement and testing infrastructure…
We put Mavericks on the Harrier GR7/9 pretty damn fast for Herrick and Telic iirc as well.
This. A million times
Thats how the covid vaccine was rushed through by skipping the unecessary hurdles
I once had a freebee sticker from a air show in the late 1980s it said EFA (European Fighter Aircraft (Typhoon)) The fighter for the 90s.
Looks like the Russians fighting for Ukraine are having a bimble into Belgorod, wonder how this will go down in Moscow.
Edited to remove link, bit graphic in places.
Looks like Wagner group have started the makings of a coups!
Strangely, I was having a conversation not that long ago about them turning.
Is the risk of someone MORE nutty than Putin, not of concern…?
Either way - BBC News is taking over from Glastonbury coverage for me!
Waiting for VRT_memes to compare CFAVs v HQAC with Wagner Group v Putin…
100%. This is very much a case of better the devil you know.
That said, this could quicken the end of the war in Ukraine. It’s a removal of combat-experienced troops, and the potential attrition of reserve units internally to Russia.
I suspect that the Chinese will sit back and wait for the outcome, they’d like some of eastern Russia just for mineral, oil/gas resources if nothing else. Remember Russia spans IIRC 9 time zones, it is that vast. With the risks to eastern Russia from China, they can’t afford to pull too many forces to the west.
Either way this pans out, I wouldn’t be stood near a window in a high building or the old solution will be firing squads taking an upswing in business.
Apparently now only 2 hours away from Moscow city centre
I thought it was meant to be Moscow to Kyiv in 3 days, not the other way around!
Be interesting to see what the Russian Army does
More importantly what the FSB and troops like the Alpha Group and the Kantamerov Tank Division? The FSB are in the chain for nuclear release.
