ain the good old days, I as (CO) was flown by one of my cadets who is now doing his Captains course with Emirates… If they are qualified, they’re qualified. !

I would agree about the white belt - it merely says ‘look at me, I’m wonderful’. but the pace stick has a real function and should be used as an instructional tool.

I think all Sqn Cdrs regardless of rank should have aiguillettes in recognition of the tough role they have volunteered for….
