ain the good old days, I as (CO) was flown by one of my cadets who is now doing his Captains course with Emirates… If they are qualified, they’re qualified. !

I would agree about the white belt - it merely says ‘look at me, I’m wonderful’. but the pace stick has a real function and should be used as an instructional tool.

I think all Sqn Cdrs regardless of rank should have aiguillettes in recognition of the tough role they have volunteered for….:winking_face_with_tongue::wink::winking_face_with_tongue:

Is there anything else to come of this, I heard chatter of something from a staff member about a course being ran in the summer but nothing official that i’ve seen come out - then again my OC doesnt put half the events onto cadet portal

The cadet drill courses have been relaunched “DTC(I)” (Drill Training Course (Instructor)), which is a weekend course open to cadets who have completed the SNCO course, as well as officers and CIs interested in teaching drill. Completion doesn’t allow you to wear a white belt or carry a pace stick, however.
