BPSS etc

Hahah TEST officer “lost” my passport scan, driving licence scan, MOD90 scan, bank account details in the form of a cheque, shooting quals scan and a comprehensive list of all my qualifications. When if it was reported to Information Commissioner I was asked why would we need to.

HQAC simply don’t have a clue about data. I wonder if we had the same TEST officer.

I’m guessing it’s one of you that had posted this. You may want to specify breaches that meet a certain requirement, ie, breaches that were reported to HQAC. As the FOI stands now I’m guessing they’ll refuse as it’ll take too long to get all the data as in theory they’d need to contact all WHQs to collate all the data, and going back to 2016 may take some time.

Just a thought, but am still interested to see what response comes back. I’ve certainly had a confidential email sent to the wrong personal email (the person sending missed the numbers at the end of my name on the address) yet they claimed they got a read receipt. I asked for that to be reported; I doubt it ever was.

They won’t have a clue because how many Wings actually report as they are required to. I’ve raised in the past and no one, including WExO had a clue that it had to be reported.

HQAC won’t have kept a record of these reports.

Which will mean a formal complaint / follow up to the ICO will result in HQAC getting a severe telling off (at the very least).

My best guess “Data not held”

Either that or they say there are so many records of breaches it will cost too much

Wallop - ICO here you go!

They say no lost information

Number of data breaches
2016 0
2017 0
2018 0
2019 0

If no one reported it up the chain, then they will have no record of it

Usual analogy of crap in, crap out.

I know our Wing has been losing paperwork for years. Shows that it was never reported through the correct channels :see_no_evil: :hear_no_evil: :speak_no_evil:

Good lord that’s heavy (click on the image for the full thing)

CC’s ICO.

Dear Air Cadet Organisation…

Still ACO on whatdotheyknow. Probably can’t change it/haven’t thought to/deemed it would confuse those external.

It is what I like to describe as “a massive, Israeli-style overreaction”.

What on earth does Robert think he’s going to receive in reply?
They’ve said “no breaches”. They’re not going to change that just because he writes a grumpy follow up.

I really hate to think just how much public money is wasted paying for staff to pursue totally unnecessary FoI requests across Government.

Perhaps we could put a slogan on the side of a bus?

“Let’s take that £350 million that we waste in FoI requests because Ted from Aylesbury isn’t satisfied with his bin collections, and give it to the NHS instead”.

Resurrecting an old thread…

apparently I need to do BPSS now (:man_shrugging:) although nobody’s ever sent me the form, or told me anything about it. One of the requirements apparently is that the reference is from your employer, and they sign to say they’ve known you for more than 3 years. Err… I’ve never in my life worked for the same organisation for more than 3 years, so what am I supposed to do? Any ideas? (I do have a backup, but I’m still interested to hear if this affects other folk too)

I think you can use two RAFAC references instead of they’ve known you for three years or summat like that.
