So have they got rid of the blue or is they just a off batch of the new style with out blue or “gold”

Factoring in the following considerations:

  1. The Tudor crown version has been available (by private purchase at least) since 2022;
  2. The CCF has always used CWO rank slides without ‘Staff Cadet’ text;
  3. The ATC reduced the age for CWOs prior to the release of the new colour-coded cadet rank slides; and
  4. The colour-coded cadet rank slides are still very new.

I would assess as highly likely this is just an interim design from between the King’s accession and the introduction of the new cadet slides.

Regardless of whether it’s allowed or not, it’s sure ugly and poor quality compared to pre-Coloured Band rank slides!

I have a couple of pairs with the Tudor crown, but newer ones with St Edward’s crown. I guess it’s just that old adage of using up existing stock.

My CWO got sent the new ones with the yellow additions and the new crown on appoitment

Took one look and rushed off to find some old Staff Cadet CWO tabs instead……

Flight staff cadets seem to be very happy with the new ones.

The new ones are great quality… The old CWO staff cadet ones were the wrong blue and look off.

My only issue with the new ones are that there not gold but yellow and the crown is a slightly but too big.

Now this is a new one! Never seen any like this before, but I think it’s actually a good idea - safeguarding still get their colour distinction, but cadets don’t have to look so stupid with the coloured bands.
