Automatic sharing of events to all selected units without Asan intervention

BUT the addition of the already mentioned “do you approve this sign up” button.

when hosting an inter-wing or region event, the ability to see all contact and medical details for those selected to attend.

Another one: we used to have a bulk add wizard for new cadets, so we could process all those in an intake at once.

That got binned ages back, so now we have to do each one separately.

The better solution is a ‘cadet join’ system so it can just be filled from an online form. That was in the pipeline I thought?

And that way any spelling or information errors aren’t our fault! A secondary is a massive drop in joining admin burden for intakes.

SMS: I’d like the names of cadets when bidding on an activity say, to be linked so that I can click their name I can see their details without having to have two tabs open – event and cadet roster. Also what would be useful, is a set of icons next to each cadet name, indicating quals etc. to ensure we can select appropriately. We have the medical one which is useful (be great to either have a hover over tool tip to show what that is, or be able to click on it as above).

Additionally it would be useful to be able to email cadets and parents from a button on an SMS event, enabling us to inform via SMS rather than copying links, downloading JI’s and putting them into Outlook.

I’ve tried this tracker, but I’ve noticed it doesn’t take the up-to-date data. It says cadets are out of date on their heat and cold when they are in date. I was excited, as I thought this would save a job on getting cadets classifications and what they haven’t attempted yet. But having to double-check each record is just adding to the admin.

It takes the data straight from Bader. if there is an issue with the data, it’s an issue with how us CFAV’s are managing it.
Actually I take it back,

for the first cadet on my list, it shows Heat as in date, but cold as expired, and yet looking at Volunteer Portal,

You can see that both heat and cold are current.

@WillMorrow, if you’re actively working on the chrome extension rather than the integration into VP?

Yeah it’s a bug on my side, where it takes the first occurrence of “Cold Injury - Cadet Presentation” rather than finding the record with the latest date.

I am no longer in your Wing :frowning: I resigned from my post in November and was ignored for 7 months so I left moved Wing…

 left entirely?
That sounds rubbish

Should’ve been clearer… haven’t left entirely! Just moved Wing/region.

well that’s a relief, but sorry you’ve had a rubbish experience.

a few things on my wish list in no particular order:

Automate home to duty

Allow better stats for cadets. Who has achieved what in chosen period of time and who went where.

Reinstate the option on the register of selecting or deselecting all cadets.

make parental contact details quicker to find on SMS

Allow single sign on for all roleS

that the system is clever enough to fill out the 2FTS Form 005 (VGS) or 012 (AEF) manifest forms with the names, ranks, and age information upon clicking a “generate” button.

all the data is held within the event application, it would take all the names “selected” and fill out the form, currently i end up typing/writing it all out - not a game changer, but useful change that is on my wishlist

Thought I’d remind everyone of the “Request a Feature” page on the Digital Hub on SharePoint.
RAFAC Digital - Request Features
Have a scroll through the requested features and thumbs up those that you think are most important, or open individual feature requests to add comments or more detail.
Or submit a new idea via the button on the right.

I struggle to get that to work :grimacing:

Can the topic creator port them across?

This seems like a great tool and one that should definitely be in VP.

But in its current state, is it not pulling OSP information through Google, creating a potential GDPR breach?

I’m not 100% clued up on if this would constitute one (and I’ve not used the tool before so will cede to someone with experience with it!) but if there’s no requirement to log into Bader to access then isn’t there a risk of us promulgating personal details through an unauthorised third party?

I asked the same question to the creator ( @WillMorrow ) and was reassured that no it was fine, it pulls data from your already logged in Bader session and the data in question wasn’t sent off-machine

The data remains in your browser, exactly how Volunteer Portal works. There is no exfiltration of data via Google, or any other third party.
