AT Quals and the Faff that is

Yup - going way to fast round a hidden bend.

…not always accidental:

@redowling do you think something similar to this could be created for AT?

I think this is a great use of SPOL to display this info - Courses on the Shooting Portal

Don’t see why not; the only downside is that the number of courses is vastly larger which might make it more unwieldy?

I did think that, wonder if you could split into set disciplines

Pretty sure I’ve seen flow diagrams from various NGBs. I know MTa have one, pretty sure BCU do too!

Yeah, they are all on the Qualification Pages on the AT portal.

BCU don’t have a diagram but they do have a ‘My Pathway’ tool.

A while ago there was someone that made an awesome spreadsheet and shared it on the Freelance Outdoor Instructor Facebook group. I’ll need to dig it up! Had all the pathways and mini explanation with the rough remit of each qualification.

Yeah, I’ve seen that too!

Just seen that the AT Generic Risk Assessments have been published on the new forms, they look pretty good on a first read.

That’s annoying given that I re-wrote mine on the new forms yesterday

You might be better at searching facebook groups, but the only one I could find has been deleted from the poster’s dropbox account

Searching Facebook groups on mobile is as bad at trying to use SPOL. Not even going to try  That link does look like the right thing I was thinking of though. But it is (was) a pdf. Pretty sure what I was thinking of was a massive spreadsheet

Agreed, they are good.

As in a page per discipline (walking, climbing, biking etc)? I’m slightly reticent because I’d effectively be replicating the information that is already out there on the NGB pages with regards to details of the awards, remits etc.

If someone can’t be arsed to look up the details of the award on the web, are they going to read Sharepoint?

A short summary with links to the relevant NGB site would be useful as it keeps everything in the one place instead of needing to open a million different tabs.

Like on the qualification pathways page on the AT portal, or more detail?

Not necessarily more detail, but more what you can do with each specific qualification. For example, the difference in scope between H&ML and ML can be quite confusing; having this in brief layman’s terms would help people find exactly what they’re looking for.

Bogs & grass

Rocky & pointy

Scope lesson complete.
