Army & Sea Cadets smashing it again (& occasionally the Scouts)

Probably the coolest unit address for any cadet unit.

freezing as well.

You’re not wrong.

I went on board for a corporate event a few years back. In the evening anything on the lower decks was distinctly chilly!

I think our cadet has just smashed it -(VE Day 80 - The Nation Remembers - BBC iPlayer) 1.59

This is excellent!

Just a shame our aviation policy would mean no cadets would be allowed a passenger flight in it!

RAFAC version:

“Nominate a CFAV doing a great job. We’ve lined up an amazing opportunity to complete some additional mandatory training and there’s a stack of admin at SWRHQ we could do with some help getting through so we’re looking for someone capable of actually doing it”

I’m surprised that’s allowed at a party political event; unless they’re attending all the party conferences?

They’re not MOD funded though, so do the same rules apply?

Could be just the political party that is in government. They are still MoD sponsored but not controlled - it makes perfect sense for them to be there as advocates for cadets & youth organisations.

They’re not advocating or endorsing a party or a candidate.

There are government events and there are party political events. Even when the government is formed by a single party, there are divisions between party structures and governmental structures.

Had a google - it’s a regular thing where they go to the government & opposition party conferences to promotion youth organisations & hold workshops

Perhaps the Air Cadet Charity should look at doing something similar.
