Having a closer look, the initial example looks nice, but the embroidery on the additional examples looks horrid.

How would their rank slides go down on an RAF station?
edit: Not meant to be a reply to alex
fat fingers ig sorry
If i was a SWO i wouldnt let it fly…but thats just me
well that’s my thought…
AP/ACP 1358 is quite prescriptive when it comes to badges compared to it’s army equivalent
the army describes a badge, says you can have it in a vriety of colours, patterns and levels of detail, so these badges would definiteley eork under Army rules, RAF maybe not?
Absolutely no way in SWO’s good green earth that the OR rank slides would… erm… slide. The OG ones and MTP ones maybe… But I get issued MTP ones so I wouldn’t buy them.
Officers ones again, I don’t think would. Only ones that are allowed a backing in blues are Plt Off and Fg Off, so anything above that is breaking 1358.
But… I have no epaulette on my smock, and have a velcro rank on my arm, similar to the army. See below…
Only person who said anything was OC BSW who got very confused as to where it was but once she saw it was happy(?) with it.
So no, their blues ones wouldn’t fly, but the MTP and OG probably would, but I wouldn’t spend that money on it.
I Likey
Send it to a tailor to get rid of the horrid Upper arm pockets and eppaulets?
Nope. This is a CS95 MTP smock.
And with my other smock I took the pockets off myself.
I quite like the rank slides with the MTP backing between the bars - looks nice. I also quite like the subdued ones, but as we will never be allowed to wear them legally, I’ll just stick with my normal RAF issue subdues without RAFAC on them
The rafac pins are a straight swap for the VRT pins. Why did we have to go through so much pain. Wait a minute Great coat…use RAFAC pins on the shoulder boards! I see a trend.
The pins were only really a straight swap on No1s (and 5s as pathches)
Swapping to embroidered slides was an immense decision, if only they were higher quality
