What are the big changes (if any)

Hmm since when do the CCF not qualify for a cadet 100 badge? They’ve had it far longer that the ATC & obtain it at the schools meeting.

@MikeJenvey - might be worth an email correction

Predominately writing in RAF IBNs it seems (jumpers without ties, metal flying wings, hosiery). But main change is incorporation of the new brassard layout with transition period (until May 2026)

This update includes the following:

Incorporation of RAF IBN 9524 – Amendment to wearing of No2 SD Jersey (Jumper) without a tie
Incorporation of RAF IBN 7724 – Private purchase of Metal Flying & Qualification Badges
Incorporation of RAF IBN 6924 – Qualification and Profession Badge
Incorporation of RAF IBN 0225 – Amendment to Hosiery Policy
Incorporation of RAFAC IBN 030-2024 – Progressive Training Syllabus Re-Badging
Incorporation of Medal Ribbon ‘Beckets’ (0438.)
Incorporation of Brassard Style Irregularities (0440.)
Withdrawal from use of the:
Previous Brassard Layout prior to the Jun24 update.

We have added a sentence on the brassard page that measurements are approximate and best fit is acceptable. The idea will be that for a future iteration, the measurements will be removed and the brassard sectioned to fit, as we know the variations on brassards/badges/unit identifiers etc… make the measurements difficult to standardise.

Any questions/queries please communicate through your WWO. Im not being a messenger

Who do CCF communicate through? (they don’t have WOs )

Aren’t they called something else now?

Not a clue?!

Just had a quick look, but I’m not sure IBN 9524 has been correctly understood.

I thought No. 2 (Full) SD still included the tie? It’s only when you slip a jumper on because its cold (not because 2-Full is the prescribed order of dress) that you don’t need a tie (although I still haven’t taken the tie out of the top of my daysack, which was only there for when I was wearing a short sleeved shirt and wanted to put a jumper on).

I had to look up para. 0438 to see what these were. Until today, I never knew they were called beckets (there must be a story to that?)

It’s an old nautical term I believe (what isn’t?!)

I assume that’s to align with the ACF, that’s had CTTs since at least the mid-1990s?

It’s not, the CTT for the ACF have specific rights within the mil-skills world that these do not. It may be a sneaky way to make people think they are the same.

Close enough for Government work…

Para 0196 refers to someone called Sqn Ldr CCF - no such person for some time now.

Also enjoying 0438 left Brest pocket. Is that in France?

And this was from 30 seconds’ perusal. Maybe I should hire myself out as a proofreader…

All the images of pocket less shirts is just making me want to stock up on the pocketed ones. I don’t know why but they just look bizarre without the pockets :man_shrugging:
