ACC Foodies - What are you Eating and Drinking?

Apparently I’m the first white guy in this town that many people can remember. As the menu translations are showing.

I’m tempted to try “the great guy whole” (it’s actually a whole guinea pig) but think I’ll stick with “steak to the poor” (steak, plantain, eggs, chips and rice)

I’ve seen photos from a cadets trip to Paru. Lots of guinea pigs on a plate. Not appetizing.

It’s actually a decent taste, but there’s very little meat and it’s tough to get it off the bone. Wasn’t worth how much I needed to pay to have it versus other tradicional meals.

Reminds me of Iguana!

Tuesdays is Daddy Daycare, so for Tea me and the Munchkin have had Tesco finest sausages (no Richmond for my girl) with baked beans, followed by splitting a hot cross bun for desert.

These are becoming one of my favorite I think! Perfect for refreshment whilst cooking. Only 2.5% too, so basically a soft drink!

Not according to my boss, who took umbrage at me drinking a Heineken 0.0 at lunch, whilst at home. Philosophical arguments to ensue.

WhatWillyCook’s interpretation of Turkish Eggs on toast. And it’s omnomnomnom.

Rick Stein’s Singapore prawn laksa, everything made from scratch - including some gorgeous massive king prawns from the local fishmonger.

Om nom bloody nom.

An evening drinking apple strudel old-fashioned and the Timothy Taylors Boltmaker, now feeling rather happy.

Managed to get rid of about 50% of crap in the shed today. She treated me to a chilled 12 pack of Thatchers!

Edit: Turns out she had my bank card, so she treated me to a 12 pack via my bank account.
