Yep get the impression he’s afraid of his own shadow and parachuting regardless of how good it was deemed by Cadets and staff - ain’t never coming back.
Just another huge disappointment in a sea of despair

Here’s some detail of what is being canned next year, and what is carrying on!

I enjoy the use of the term ‘strategic pause’.

And for those without access, it’s not protectively marked, so:

Air and Space camp - Carry on
JL - Carry on
Easter Music Camp, concert/parade - Carry on
QAIC - Carry on
Gold Cyber - Carry on

RIAT - Probably fine, need tents, but not 100%.
IACE - Reduced numbers, at best.
Muster - Canx
National Comps - Canx
ACLC - Canx
Overseas Expeds - Canx
Nij - HQ not getting involved, so depends what regions do.
Super camps - Canx
D&C - Canx
Music, Choir and Strings camps - Canx
Music, pipes - Not clear, but assume canx, given the wording.
Overseas Camps - Canx

note: Canx = cancelled for 2024, not necessarily forever. But who knows…

…Future Accommodation Solution (tents)…

Although it make sense with the accommodation issues at cranwell the ATC has been gunning to take down this course for a fair while.

I love how for Nijmegen they want to explore how we effectively monitor core body temperature in children.
It’s easy, microchip them.

That’s the one that annoys me the most.

If Nij doesn’t get HQ support, I can see it dying

This made me laugh too!

Sadly, I agree. Not something I want to see, but it looks that way.

For 2024 all marchers will be fitted with a butt thermometer :thermometer: :joy:

Gutted at this, we send Cadets successfully every year and they bring back so much to the unit.

Shame. I thought it had a good blend of activities.

Just because something doesn’t have a security marking (protective marking went out with GPMS in 2014) doesn’t mean it’s appropriate to share it on a public forum. Under GSC, all information is of value and should be stored and distributed appropriately. If people don’t have access, maybe they aren’t the intended audience?

I get that. But this was in an email, that was sent to every member of this organisation. Many of whom have no security clearance what so ever.

It’s ‘Official’ data, even if un-classified, as anything produced by us is classed as Official.

There is absolutely nothing to imply this data should not be shared. I would happily share it with my cadets, therefore I have no issue sharing it on here.
