I disagree. I’ve definitely learnt more about the plans, some of which don’t sound amazing but other bits sound like they’re on the right track.
It’s also settled some of the questions and rumours that are abound, and shows that HQAC know we do actually exist.

For those that have logged off - O18s now being discussed. Basically, it’s running more slowly than was planned and is being designed to ensure we meet equalities issues. The initial problem was raised with CAC from cadets.

SOunds like the O18 for all was binned by MOD as was only agreed for the current model.

Actually a reasonable answer as to why it was delayed. Shame they couldn’t have said “hey, we planned this, but at the last minute some new information and directive from the MOD has come to light which we need to appraise and therefore revisit our ideas” in September.

Could also have been dealt with by being more transparent, therefore FOIs not being needed.
But to be honest, that’s what this call is now doing!

I’m glad I came and listened to all of that. I think this is a massive improvement in transparency.
There was a lot of political waffle/bs. But there was also a lot of useful insight into the background of what is going on. Although there wasn’t a lot specific changes being announced, it has answered a few things.

I agree. This is a massive step forwards. Still work to be done, but credit where credit is due, they ran this. Hopefully they’ll look for feedback and tweak it for next time
