How will they promulgate important information with no Facebook?!

In fairness this tweet clearly comes from the new volunteer media team. Far higher quality than usual

Sadly still won’t notify cadets of announcements though :frowning:

That’s what the announcement function is for.

Get the littlens to check portal frequently.
Bang on announcements on portal.
Simples.

I think the point is they should get an email when a new announcement has been made/shared.

And I wholeheartedly agree

When, 95% of the time, there’s no new news, they very quickly get out of that habit. No matter how much we tell them otherwise.

The platform needs push notifications or it won’t work.

This 100%. Fed up of answering questions from cadets with “it’s on Cadet Portal”. We’ve given demos, put up event QR codes, regularly mention on final parade about what’s new on cadet portal but if we check SMS I guarantee most will not be logging in regularly. :disappointed:

MML. Last month I snuck a Top Gun reference into a report. It was noted by a Councillor who sent a message of congratulations for brightening his evening - but suggested I don’t do it again.

When will they learn; if you want to deter me you need to do more than suggest.

My favourite similar thing I did was to refer to the Summer of 1940 as “Springtime for Hitler” in an exam question at Uni

But that’s the Guardian. As well as being untrustworthy “journalists” they have to go and spoil everyone’s fun.

Who are the ‘enemies of the people’ this week again?

Wait, isn’t it you now?

I’m not saying that no other paper is rubbish, but at least they don’t try to hide behind a veneer of respectability like the Guardian does when the honesty levels are similar to the Daily Mail.

But yes, I’m doubly hated for the new job and the civil service one. :grinning:
