Since October, polling suggests the French’s “I would have a vaccine” respondent level has increased by 5%.
Only to something like 59% now and still the lowest of 14 countries polled.
They may be vocal, but our anti vaccine mob are (almost surprisingly) a distinct minority. Still a large number of idiots though. I regularly drive past some low effort graffiti showing a needle and the words “Guinea Pigs”.
The vaccine roll out has been amazing, and whilst I will have the vaccine I can sort of get where they are coming from. I am sceptical of the efficacy figures and it will take some time for the real % to be come apparent but waiting eagerly for my text to get by appointment booked.
massive apologies in advance if you do mean this, and do understand the difference, but it GMG when people say “increased by 5%” when they really mean “increased by 5 percentage points”
Hilarious. After all the pressure we’re under to get back into uniform, and that defence review thread where they said mixed dress was coming, and now this.
It’s ruined my morning frankly. I won’t be wearing them that’s for sure. And I’ll advise all cadets not to buy.
You have no idea who I am or anything about my life, so please refrain from telling me its all gravy.
You have over reacted to a joke, twice now. I’m sorry that you feel it isn’t funny, and I’m sorry that you might not be having a great time. However, as this isn’t a crisis support service and no one knows who you really are, how do you expect anyone to know that?
If you need support there are lots of great charities that can help you. Mind, the Samaritans, CALM, Refuge, Mankind, Respect, YoungMinds, SSAFA all offer support services either in phone or in person, and I recommend you contact them.
Internally you should have access to a padre either at sqn, wing or regional level who can coordinate that support should you need it. If you’re not sure who yours is let one of us know and we will endeavour to find them for you. Mine would, I’m certain, be happy to speak to you regardless of your area (and of course that would be confidential).
Whether you agree with it or not April fools day happens every year. If you’ve been “fooled” by something then that is a shame, but that doesn’t intrinsically make it a monstrosity. Lots of other users here have been “got” and had to have their error pointed out to them, eat some humble pie and think that maybe they were too quick to believe it and maybe learn a lesson about objectively reviewing what they read on the Internet and its veracity.
