You know what really makes me laugh?

When you’re 9 months into the new ways of working and your wife still hasn’t got her head around the fact that working from home still requires me to work.

What is this… Working from home?

Carried on working from the March lockdown as normal-ish.

Civil service. Realised they can save a fortune on heating and electric by keeping us at home. Was nice to begin with as they understood productivity would be down and it saved money on my commute, but now they want the usual productivity and then some I really need to get back into the office

Nearly 20 years of being home based and it’s not just the wife but family thinking it’s fine to ask all sorts of crap questions and expect you to just drop everything.

Far more productive from home without the coffee/water machine chats or people turning up at the desk to ask questions that then turn into general chats

I started a new job in lockdown, have never been to the office :man_shrugging:

I transferred departments so I’m in the same boat. Still need to go and collect a load of stuff from my locker in my old job

Similar - moved Departments and moved to a different role with a Promotion - still not met anyone from work face-to-face.

This is the only possible knot.

I haven’t tied a Windsor since 2013. No one, I repeat no one, has noticed.

I had to learn a new knot when I started work. Because I wear tunic shirts the collar studs shred ties if you wear them stitch side closest to the neck. It’s called a Shelby, and once tied, looks identical to a Windsor, but the tie is flat side to the neck, and uses less material in the knot.

I haven’t done a Windsor since probably 2017 cause it’s perfect and so I never undo it fully :smirk: even when washing it stays

And to be honest I don’t think I could even remember how to do it without googling

Oooohhh. Check you out with you tiny head!!!

I’ve got no choice but to retie the knot EVERY TIME as my noggin is so big I can’t get it on/off without with the old release and slide trick.

RAF even had to special order me a hat!!! Lol.
