In my experience, people don’t go to the ones they want to see the back of.
This chap was a circuit judge who ran the family courts in Hampshire for a spell, before moving to Bristol and taking over the regional hub for the Court of Protection. He had over 200 attendees on the meeting, because he is a really, really nice chap.
His brother judge remarked that we couldn’t have held the valedictory even there hadn’t been a pandemic, as there wouldn’t have been anywhere with enough room.

The problem is they usually do them on a Friday morning in court.
Which partly explains the high attendance, normally you only attend if you happen to be at the court, unless invited to speak. Whereas via Teams, I could attend from home in my onesie.

Regardless, the biggest upset is seeing the Scum “News” paper links thrown about. I have actually removed people from the likes of Facebook as they seem to struggle to understand when they have been politely educated on the reasons. The most recent story that shocked the country was the train in Scotland that hit a landslide. Scummy paper that prints before it thinks!

I was at my union congress in 2017 and as i sat down at the table everyone in the hall had a notice with Ban The Sun written on it. Tbh thats the last thing that should be done .Just dont buy it and it will die quickly enough.

They’ve been around for a few years. Check out Wish. CD probably seen various other tat shops selling them online (150% discount type Facebook ads etc) and jumping on the bandwagon.
I always check Wish when I see one of those ads (a lot of clothing stores too), it’s definitely where those places get their stuff. EBay is no different - look out for “UK Seller” and Union Flags plastered over images.
