It was a news story that I got sent in a group chat that literally made me laugh, thus the post in here.

I remember doing exactly that at the time, to see if there was somewhere better, but there wasn’t. The article you’ve linked was published on the 12th of November, my comment was made on the 11th. There may well have been one that I missed, but when I posted it, it was fairly fresh news.
And considering the metro is basically the free version of the Daily Heil your link isn’t much better if we want to go down that route.

If you can’t appreciate that the “cheap cotton and sugar” was bought at the cost of lives. Then I think you really need to just leave this forum. It’s not done for comedy value, it is done to demonstrate to the people who still suffer, to this day, from the after effects of a world-view view that treated their ancestors as worthless chattels. That is was wrong, that it was evil and that it will not be tolerated again. It’s not changing history, it’s signposting that the future will be better, by making changes now.
Every time you post vile, vitriolic nonsense like this, I worry for the fact that you are here because you are allegedly a leader within this youth organisation. If I did know who you are, I would report you to the chain of command as someone who is unfit to be a member of it.

You know what makes me laugh?
When GoodEgg joined cadets 5 years ago and has been rebellious since joining, but is now in uniform, taking a wing post and about to drink ALL the cool aid.
If I start towing the company line, please do shout at me and tell me to pack it in 
nervously laughs, are we away from the awkward subjects now

If they’ve got a bridge like that near the IoW, as a “caulkhead” - I’ve missed something!
One of the old BR ferries (the Shanklin) whacked into Ryde Pier (foggy) in the 1970’s - at least they will have new trains now!
