You know what really makes me laugh?

Facepalm

My wife is to work from home (1st time ever) as of today she had a video conference call this morning… woke up at 5am hoovers my Home office incase someone saw anything on the floor, Then proceeds to get ready… washed, dressed, make up THEN the perfume. I asked her why the perfume? she answers but I always make sure I have my perfume on to work…
Points out but your not leaving the house…
Ah but I’m still going to work so need to ensure I am dressed for work properly…

Not as bad as the mutants my mum works for though… texted last night…
Coronavirus update: to help Coronavirus outbreak we have decided that everyone can dress down!!
Yes they are a massive world wide company of Mutants!

I knew what it was going to be before I even clicked the link.

Not disappointed.

An article on BBC saying that the WHO says Africa must wake up to this virus. Fine, but like all references to Africa it seemingly ignores the fact that it’s 50 odd countries and something like 2000 languages, with looser borders than Europe.

Do you imagine “Africa” needing to read the article on the BBC, or could it possibly just be reporting shorthand for us, and the WHO will be cascading their concerns down through the various organisations and governments on the continent?

Making me laugh? That weird feeling of having at least 3 months of cadet free weekends… this has happened to me since 1993…

Is this what regular folk do???

Normal people do it all the time, not just for 3 months or however long.
Will people want to go back to umpteen weekends lost, when they’ve got out of the habit.
Will people find their volunteering satisfaction in other ways that are not as demanding in terms of the things they have to do, to just volunteer. Think of all those lost when the VGS was paused.
That aside I’ve plenty to do; garden, shed and garage, that are invariably neglected or half done and some other things I’ve been asked by the Mrs to do and things I fancy having a go at.

The difference is that with Social Distancing and all the pubs being shut people can’t go out and find other things to do.

Why do you need a pub etc, people are still going to work and the shops. The only people who ‘need’ pubs, cafes etc are in soap operas.
I’m quite enjoying people “self isolating” as it makes driving to and from work and generally much more pleasant experience, long may it continue. It will be interesting to see how many just 'self-isolate" when they are expected to be at work, but manage to go out at the weekend, in spite of their visions of impending doom.

I wonder how many pubs were absolutely rammed yesterday evening with people getting their last fix, and how many people were infected as a result…

With the pubs shutting the halfwits will be panic buying beer, wine and spirits.
Might leave the ordinary food for the rest of us.
I might raffle one of my bottles of rum if it gets that bad and make a few quid out of the gullible.

Actually have to agree with you there Teflon. Just sat down a completed a list of things to do over the next few months; all those things where ATC activities got in the way of.

It’s not just us!

But do they like cheese???

Looking at some of the recent posts people seem far too excited about the restrictions and all the other BS and forgotten humour take a look at this and ignore the other nonsense …
Disney characters in quarantine

I did enjoy that video when I first saw it. Not a huge Disney buff, but forwarded it to the nuts I know and they were overjoyed.

I only got all the references from our youngest daughter, she’s always been a Disney fan. I admire the bloke for his effort and using his imagination and talent to stop himself becoming totally mad by this state enforced imprisonment of the populace.
I think we should be enjoying and extolling the humour (the blacker the better) that comes from this nonsense and not get overly prissy.
