If it was Florida…my arm would of probably been twisted
So you could witness your own “Florida Man” moment?
He could be one.
@AlexCorbin According to what I was listening to on R4 tonight the Democrats are going to have problems getting elected as they have the potential to be a little bit “big government” and too socialist, for the Yanks, akin to Corbyn’s attempt to woo the British public, so you may not get to go as it looks like Donald may well get a second term. Not a bad thing IMO as I like Donald Trump at least he seems to say it how HE sees it and not pandering to some lefty PC agenda, like the self-serving, sarmy career politicos, who have never had a real job. He also seems to see being president as like running a business, which it is. As for Boris Johnson too many people make that mistake with Boris Johnson, I was watching a programme before the election and one of the obviously not Conservative commentators had to concede he’s achieved things people said he wouldn’t and with a reasonable degree of success.
As for the US health system, may be they have got it right and see that an NHS is not really affordable, like the UK did not that longer after the NHS was started and has only been kept going through lies, deceit and far too much money, because we sure as hell can’t really afford it but it would be a brave govt to scrap it, so we have to keep feeding the black hole. If we could afford it; prescriptions, teeth and eye care would not cost a penny other than the legalised mugging called taxation. If it hadn’t been “invented” here when it was I’m not sure it would have ever been a thing.
If the NHS was actually run properly as a business and not the “trust franchise” model we have, things could be a whole lot better. Not so many overpaid execs and managers doing non medical things.
Ah yes, he doesn’t appeal to the PC agenda by…

Which, if his ‘business’ empire is anything to go by, means the US will be filing for bankruptcy any time now.
It would seem that the US has been doing better than many expected after 2016 election. I think the tough stance with China and the fact he’s met and spoken withKim Jong Un has scored some plus points.
Like a certain Alan Sugar, Donald Trump has made and lost more money than any of us would see in a dozen lifetimes. U think this rankles with some. Successful businessmen don’t collapse, they look for the next opportunity and take a chance. I know a few who have ‘opened’ businesses and if they don’t work, do something else, it’s called entrepreneurial spirit and something not many have.
Oh entrepreneurial spirit!
That thing you have when your dad gives you a ton of cash and you lose it all?
A keen hobby of mine is Googling ‘florida man’ followed by the date
Then making it back. As I said a lot of successful businessmen/women lose money but don’t falter and are prepared to dabble and if works fine and if it doesn’t move on. The fact people just seem to take a dislike to the current US President because he doesn’t fit some idealised vision, shouldn’t mean dismissing him outright. He’ll stop being President this year or in 2024, but he’ll still have his businesses and money.
I don’t respect either his vision or his business acumen: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/05/07/us/politics/donald-trump-taxes.html?smtyp=cur&smid=tw-nytimes
He’s a fine, upstanding citizen.
Not only that, he set a fantastic example for others to follow.
Of course, he has shown himself to be a kind, caring character for those who have stood up to him. And here.
Never mind his cuts in spending to the US State Department.
He is an appalling person.
But he is making America Great Again - Ask 50% of Americans who don’t think he is a
Some people not understanding how Skype conferences work.
Today in a video conference we’ve seen one colleague walking round in his boxers and doing ironing (didn’t realise it had video).
Then in a telephone conference we’ve just had someone forget to mute his headset before going for a wazz. This remote working is going to be interesting.
haha…i had a skype call with CEO,Im totally in my pyjamas !
What was your CEO doing with your pyjamas?
All sounds like some required respite and amusement in a time of sincerity and concern…
I’ve broken out my gorilla mask for video conferencing.
Sadly, some colleagues haven’t noticed…?
