You know what really makes me laugh?

It’s almost like they’re trying to sell things, and not trying to represent the actual demographic of the country…

I’m not sure saying that over-representation makes people more racist is much of an argument.

For the over 70s, how much stuff is actually marketed for them anyway? There aren’t that many products and services chasing that demographic.

Ever watch daytime television?

beat me to it!!

Start watching Daytime TV and stair lifts, easy entry showers, releasing equity from your home, life insurance, funeral care packages, etc etc products all come up.

I’m surprised that they haven’t advertised cheap on way tickets to Switzerland?

Waiting for the memes…

“The royal formerly known as Prince”

Anyone got any suggestions for which symbol should be used?

I’m not defending Andrew, but I don’t see his accusers going this hard after the other potential offenders in the case.

In part I think it’s because “it’s not very British!”…

It’s also the fact that he went to such ridiculous lengths to deny any culpability or wrong doing.

The fact that he paid £12m to Ms Guiffre to try and buy her silence…

And has STILL been caught lying repeatedly.

Reports have said that Prince William is absolutely furious about the whole matter - at a time when the Senior Royals are doing everything they can to remain as relevant as possible in today’s society.

It is also believed that Prince William would strip Andrew of his title and estate immediately on accession to the throne - but King Charles is trying to “take responsibility” and trying to bring an end to it all.

I suspect that the final straw was when •¿ • (couldn’t think of a better symbol) demanded both Frogmore Cottage AND Adelaide Cottage - in exchange to vacate Royal Lodge.

Andrew genuinely knows no shame.

As to why Andrew is STILL bankrolling Sarah Ferguson, is beyond me - other than to assume that she was always aware of his behaviour.

It’s that he did so in such a poor way too, even the most basic legal advice and media advice could’ve put some distance between him and the allegations, or would’ve had him own them to an extent.

He relied on being HM’s favourite to protect him forgetting that she wouldn’t be around forever.

Which makes a lot of sense, you don’t want this hanging around forever and if you are thinking of the future better to strike now whoke the iron is hit, than wait knowing it will all be dragged up again when William has taken the throne.

Which comes back to him being the Queens favourite.

The rumour was that they had gotten back together but couldn’t remarry as the family had issue with it.

I’m not defending Andrew and don’t disagree with you. My point was that we never saw Ms Giuffre or supporters go after anyone else in the events surrounding here earlier life.

Epstein is very conveniently dead, and his girlfriend Maxwell is keeping her mouth firmly shut in federal prison.

Should this not all be in the Mr Windsor thread?

seconded.
and i am not saying this annoys me, but it seems odd he is getting all the flack - he is hardly the only accused here, and having settled out of court you’d think the victim would have let it go…else why settle out of court. seems they wanted the money and then still went after him…and it was trial by Media.

the peppercorn rent was dug up by the media and is controvertial but i wonder how many other Royals are equally paying pittance? i would be shocked if his arrangement was unique. but because he is in the news it makes for more sensational headlines about him being “the bad guy” simply because his family situation allows for a payment in such a format.

Surely we have to refer to him as this now…

(If you don’t get it …ask someone from the 80’s!)

The appropriate symbol for him can’t be shared on this forum

Seems like he’s the only accused with a photo though.

this is true.

there is a photo of him - which is ideal evidence.
he is also highly recognisable - others associates of Epstein could easily be a John Doe and so hardly to chase after

To be pedantic though, that symbol wasn’t used until the 90’s.
