You know what really makes me laugh?

It’s neither new nor unique to copilot.

That’s a less clever answer than I was hoping for :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve tried to ignore AI as much as I can but we’re slowly being coerced into using it at work so I’m going to have to give in at some point. I’m not convinced of the benefits (and don’t think people are considering the downsides) and I’m interested to understand how it works before I start using it.

Its made my life substantially easier. Especially with code based tasks, like if i mess up a SQL script. I can paste it into ChatGPT with “fix it” and it does 99% of the time. Saves me so much effort and time root cause analysising

It seems like it makes sense for those sort of applications.

My work is writing technical reports where I have to pull information from lots of different written sources. I get that AI can do that part for me, but I then need to verify all the information it’s used by digging into those sources anyway so how much time does it actually save me. And, I worry people will be inclined to believe what it’s saying and not check it themselves.

Hilariously, machine learning programs such as ChatGPT are banned and blocked on MOD internet…

So this is laughable that the headshed are using it.

Haha, this is an angle I hadn’t thought of! :joy:

Those of us who didn’t get onto the MOD-GPT trial now have access to Chat-MOD. Unfortunately, it works off a very old trawl of the internet and has no access to MOD policy docs so I’m struggling to think of things I can use it for. So far, it’s just been help with Excel formulae.

I believe it’s formal name nowadays is “google” :winking_face_with_tongue:

Let the April fools games begin! Trust no one :joy:

First for the day (& Somewhat believable)

The biggest joke there is the way they’ve spelt programme.

Okay, sort of very serious. But also sort of funny. We’ve all played around with the practise epi pens during AFA training. Imagine one actually being real whilst stabbing the person next to you :grimacing: :grimacing: :joy:

That’s the palpable fear every time I do CBRN drills. Apparently that needle is a beast on the genuine gear…

Yeah that story came up everytime I did CBRN.

Saw the headline and though they were talking about Andrew Tate! :joy: :joy:

I was wondering what the misogynist would want with an abstract painting. Turns out they’re talking about Tate Modern, which makes significantly more sense!
