You know what really makes me laugh?

You’ve missed some important differences.

To qualify for Gold you have to take a flight that only runs once a year, from an obscure location no one can get to, and only has space for 12 people…

I struggle to get my head around the Tiers

  • If you fly a hell of a lot in cattle you eventually get enough points to get lounge access and a shorter check in queue
  • To really get the points you need to turn left when you get on board
  • If you turn left you get lounge access and shorter check in queue as part of your ticket

Its a trap.

Only person i know who had silver, flies to the US every few weeks

It needs some fairly specific travel patterns to make the most of it, and the value varies a lot between airlines.

For say BA if you go long haul in Club but domestic/Europe in economy, or travel on your own dime for holidays, the lounge access is a good perk.

Star Alliance Gold was a godsend in domestic US flights as their airports are almost universally horrible!

You’d even contemplate flying BA, their service is so bad I’d rather fly with Ryanair, Vietnam or any of the internal Chinese airlines before BA. and yes I have flow. With them all.

So long as they keep changing it as soon as they have thousands of badges and logbooks made at great cost.

The fact Elmo is commenting on our politics at all is worrying. Even if funny in this instance.

Yeah, especially if he’s about to become a secretary of state.

Ya know, for a few months until Trump and he turn on eachother.

Really not looking forward to politics in the near future! America’s decent into an oligarchy is pretty much compete and that influence will be with is soon enough!

When elon doesnt get his way, and realises his cost prices are about to soar, it will turn sour

Can he be SecState? Isn’t that in the line of succession?

I’m assuming this is because Farage has distanced himself from Tommy Robinson. Robinson certainly used to be backed by Bannon and Briebart so it makes sense.

Paypalpatine is the best one I’ve heard so far.

I think @Baldrick was using using SofS in the British sense — a minister heading up a department — rather than the US Secretary of State. However, I’ve heard that, despite its name, the Department of Government Efficiency isn’t a government department.

That’s what I’ve heard too. ‘Tommy Robinson’ was the reason Farage left UKIP. If the same thing ends up happening, I can see Reform doing a UKIP and any new party associated with Farage taking prominence (albeit with some inevitable damage from the infighting).

MML: My sister’s Christmas card was sent on the 13th Nov.

It finally arrived yesterday…

Popped into Tesco to get some healthy bits for lunch at work (snack bars etc), not going mental but anything’s an improvement on the number of Greggs Sausage rolls I’m eating.

Turns out a yard of Jaffa Cakes left over from Christmas is now only £2.
