You know what really makes me laugh?

Thanks for the spot. I wasn’t aware of this website, but it looks great! I have just checked to see if anyone has been in touch with that team. They are based at Cranwell so they shouldn’t be too difficult to find.

If we can work with them, it would be great if they could tailor some of their resources towards our syllabus. It looks like most of their resources are aimed at KS2 level, but they do have sections on there for KS3 which we might be able to help them develop.

I found it after Clint Marler of the Air Scouts group on Facebook Shared it.

My only issue with most of the projects I’ve seen on there is the target age range, there are none that are sophisticated enough to really challenge the cadets and make them feel like they are doing something cool and interesting.

I’ve spoken with the guy that was in touch with them before and he has also mentioned this. Perhaps they can help with something a little more bespoke?

I built two of these compressed air Rocket Launchers last weekend for my squadron, although with ABS plumbing pipe and bike pumps and they loved building paper/card rockets. next step is to get them building with Foam Board. (alright, not as extreme as the one pictured)

You’ve also got projects like this DefCon Aerospace Village badge which feed into Cyber and Radio great.

Why is the RAFAC not piggybacking of this to update our teaching materials.

What did OC22 groups say earlier regarding RAFAC Astra? One RAF and RAFAC working together.

Seems like nobody invited the RAFAC to the party.

Oops…

You didn’t think they have the slightest interest in “Air Cades” other than pictures of smiley young faces on SM wearing light blue to perpetuate the RAF myth?

TBH if this is there and looking at it, it has some value, point cadets and staff at it. The KS2 bits may be more understandable and lead into the ‘older’ things. There is no point in getting excited about KS3+ unless staff especially understand it.

Diversity and Inclusion training today for four hours. So far most of the first half has involved us picturing people and situations in our mind and describing how the picture changes with new bits of information.

Completely excluding people with aphantasia from the inclusion training. :joy:

At least it’s better than last time where we were told that our white privilege will always outweigh any disadvantages we may have.

I mean, it is potent stuff that white privilege. As long as I don’t wear a check shirt sleeved shirt and live in a home with axles, I have perfect camouflage as a Roma.

The BBC has 5 things that led to Boris’ downfall. No, there was only one thing; not getting Cummings a knighthood or gong. I firmly believe this particular cockroach has been behind this dripfeed. You only hope whoever gets the job hasn’t upset Cummings and he has stuff he can do the same again and or they have said or done something ever in their lives which will upset the hypersensitive souls we seem to have now.
Apparently Putin is happy given Boris’ line on Russia.

I quite like the cut of the Attorney General’s jib, after reading a couple interviews.

The last (&only) attorney general to become PM was Spencer’s Perceval - not the most optimistic of fore runners

A complete and utter chocolate teapot with a reputation before parliament of being completely useless as a lawyer. She only got the job because Boris wanted someone who would tell him it was ok to breach international law and would bend to his every demand. She would be a disaster as PM.

If he hadn’t done it, there would be nothing to leak.

Indeed - although I don’t consider anything Boris has said in the past to be ‘small things’, quite the opposite.

I think we would need to take a long hard look at ourselves if we allowed another like him to sit in #10.

We do not vote/select party leaders ergo PMs. We only vote for our MPs.

Unless you are a party member or a union member depending on which party you belong too.

If he had appeased cummings nothing would have been leaked.

With two blocks of concrete around the ankles or a trip under Blackfriars Bridge.

Alas so many do - hence my comment.
