I am not laughing as it would seem the book syas “BACS payments cannot go through Branch Accounts and must go direct to the Poppy Appeal” (the situation being the Branch supplies a dozen wreaths to the local community and collect the payment, the book says we cannot collect it via BACS into the Branch account and then send on
I pushed back on this with those up the chain and they have replied
it would not be correct procedure for us to demand membership follow processes/guidance
basically admitting that although the book says we can’t/shouldn’t they are in no position to do anything about it if we choose to anyway!
