You know what really makes me happy?

When last visiting the Stockholm Arlanda Airport & being told that the “Lakrids of Bulow” shop was closing down…

…& finding an outlet only 20 mins walk from your hotel! Woo hoo. :champagne:

Best. Liquorice. Ever!

My first day out on the hills for months, refreshing my nav skills. After 30 minutes walking across a fairly featureless plateau, I worked out my grid reference and checked with my phone. Only 1 digit out on a 6-fig GR

Spending my birthday today with my family after last year being in lockdown. It was pleasant to say the least.

The old man came to visit yesterday for the first time in 6 months. The kids were very excited to see Grandad.
I was more excited that he brought a load of boxes of my stuff from the loft as he’s selling the house. I now have my entire Anne McCaffrey and Terry Pratchett collections back in hardcopy rather than just on Kindle.

Mrs Farmer may not see me for a while as I work my way through them (which would probably be her reason to post in this thread)

I was going to tag you specifically, but I thought that might be a bit cruel… :flushed: that’s even within walking distance of my house

(if it makes you feel any better, all the routes there are too hard for me so there was almost no need for a mat  and I’ve remembered just how little finger / forearm / shoulder strength I have)

I very nearly spent the weekend in Portland to be fair. Just work has been a bit crazy and been doing 7 days a week since the start of Feb! The only proper climbing I’ve got near by is sandstone, and that’s still not exactly close by anyway!

so when are you putting in your transfer to escape LaSER? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Honestly been considering moving North somewhere. House prices down here have firmly been keeping me off the property ladder. But my job currently is sweet af and I don’t want to leave it :stuck_out_tongue: There’s a bit of me that is considering trying to go full time outdoor instructor, but I love the engineering stuff I do know so who knows!

Not really climbing either is it…just like slipping around on a load of ball bearings

Sitting down to plan a little journey for my day off this week.

Oooh can you let us know how you get on as that’s on my list!

Appointment made at parent station for initial issue, hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky and we will not get put back into any lockdown in the next week :crossed_fingers::grimacing:

Mini Farmer (6) was playing with Alexa and found my early 2000s Punk Rock playlist. She’s been dancing around for a good hour. Much to Mrs Farmer’s chagrin, as a classically trained musician she sneers on punk rock
