You know what really makes me happy?

Reading your post, but this bit especially has made me happy :+1:

Hope you donā€™t suffer too much for it tomorrow :crossed_fingers:

Not as bad as I thought I wouldā€¦

Biggest issue was him waking up for an hour and not getting back to sleep around 0330ā€¦ I couldnā€™t sleep after that because I hurt too much. So just stayed up and went to bed again after he woke up at 0600. So not too bad all in all.

Pains rough today. But thatā€™s nowt to do with last night.

So proud of the guys I worked with this weekend, just worked it out that we did 31 hours work in a 40 hour period,. (A total of 9 hours to get home, sleep and get back after the 14 hour shift on day 1).

The only hot food any of us had was a McDonalds breakfast on Monday morning while we waited for our transport to Carnival.

Even with that they were all still really grafting at the end of day 2, still able to smile while dealing with the majority who just wanted a good time and the minority out for trouble who needed a firmer approach.

I donā€™t know how itā€™s possible to love and hate an event as much as I do when it comes to Carnival.

Apologies. I overreacted. The rubber feet are a little wobbly. On closer investigation, the plastic has lugs which hold everything together nice and tight have perished.

I have resolved this using cable ties. Everything is now nice and tight again. Will just need more frequent checks.

Still stoked.

Iā€™m a big fan of simple fixes like that to keep things working and often getting a bargain. Functionality over appearance usually, but does the job nicely

Could maybe find spares or something close enough with a little search for a longer term fix.

I looked this evening. Iā€™ve popped an email to the manufacturer - but Iā€™m not holding out much hope.

Iā€™m also considering a 3D print of the two components. Itā€™s a relatively straight forward shape - itā€™s just whether the plastic will be strong enough. Probably stronger than a cable tie long term!!

MMH. 2 hour Pokemon Go session with the boychild. Managed to persuade him out for a significant (6km) walk - caught huge numbers of Pokemon. Went to a gym (apparently!) and did 10 Pokestops which kept us topped up with Pokeballs. Also hatched two Pokemon in the process due to distances covered.

I think Iā€™ve found something which will get him off his backside and exercising a little!

Dr recommended using pokemon go as a tool to help the female get from bed ridden to walking with due to a back injury.

Imaging the processing officers reaction when receiving the FOI although I have heard some worse horror stories.

Can we get one for Sqns?

The local brewery Taproom has registered as a Poke Stop or Poke Gym or something, you can see all the Dads taking the kids for a ā€˜walkā€™

Is it a particular type of snail? If not the chief constable of WMP is very welcome to take as many from my back garden as they wish.

New guitar day

It is far more enjoyable as a leader, I can testify to that.
