You know what really makes me happy?

I actually wasn’t referring to the RAFAC. I live in the North so my ‘we’ was reference to my area, maybe I could have been more specific.
I can reference at least a couple of stories from my area of people visiting restaurants when they have confirmed Covid Tests.

I know all too well what real life is, I’ve been on the front end of this pandemic since it began. I saw death on a daily basis during the peak.

Just like everyone else, I’m entitled to be angry that local restrictions are happening again because like many others, I just want to focus on something positive again. I miss the RAFAC because it’s my
hobby, my escape, something I’m passionate about and enjoy doing. It’s okay to feel a bit angry that I still can’t do my passion, isn’t it?

This year’s Tour de France - phenomenal. Properly exciting right up to the last day.

Excuse me?

Seems weird to watch the Tour in England, normally sat in a bar in Nijmegen :man_shrugging:t2:

Wife finally agreeing to get rid of the outgrown baby clothes. Giving her sister the choice to store them pending her hypothetical kids or they go to the local battered women refuge. Going to have so much space in the loft, which I can then move things up from the house and actually stand a chance of keeping the place vaguely tidy.

What is it with the ladies wanting to keep everything baby related? The mother in law is moving house. For some reason my loft and garage are both now full of her crap… why oh why are we storing my OH’s baby cot!?

Goodness me! Good luck with the clean up though!

Making me happy this weekend - the arrival of Autumnal weather… and comfort food! Lamb shanks tonight and fridge full ready for a roast dinner tomorrow… winter food is so much better than summer salads!

Not if you get the salad right!

But lamb shank is a mega win!

It really is! Going to get adventurous with a port based reduction to go with it…

I’ll think of poor old @Farmerdan lugging boxes up and down the loft hatch as I laze around looking forward to dinner…!

I feel your pain - every time i try to clear loft I get it all out for Mrs Biggles_Lovechild to check…

… and then it all goes back up again

I need a shute that goes direct from loft to skip - she will never miss any of it - some of it has survived 3 house moves and never been seen in 25 years

I may have taken advantage of a leaky roof last winter to throw out most of her old school books. I mean she kept every rough working book, maths exercise book etc from primary school onwards in case the kids would be interested in looking through them one day.

If it’s in the loft it’s just 1 stage from the bin…

Not dissimilar from food in my freezer…

Any food that’s put in the freezer will be binned in 3 months time, guarantee it… how am I going to work 2 random mozzarella sticks and half a portion of something I don’t recognise into a meal?

Why not bin it at the time, because, as I’m told regularly “you idiot, you don’t understand”

It’s all Just one stage from the bin.

Just add rice or pasta (whichever seems the more sensible option). Sounds like a “I’m still hungry at 2300” or “skipped tea before cadets” kinda set up.

I once took left over soup from the freezer into work. Imagine my disappointment when I heated it up and discovered it was gravy.

My kind of soup with pepper and thick crusty bread…5am and I now fancy that! Cheers :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Lucky I don’t have any thick crusty bread in…or any bread for that matter :joy:

CCF finally issuing an IBN confirming that we are moving to the full PTS, including classification - will require a lot of self study but good to see Master Cadet now formally part of our syllabus. Though that’s probably reflecting the reality that more and more contingents have been doing it anyway

England going ahead with GCSE and A Levels and not following the panic north of the border.
