You know what really makes me happy?

Painting x50 wooden discs in a selection of colours (back and front) as training aids for Aviation Training.

Going to be lights on an airfield…

@Tornado admits watching paint dry makes him happy…

… different strokes for different folks.

Well, it’s slowly turning into a GMG, with the fact that white just gets absorbed by the plywood… I’m on 3 layers and it practically looks the same.

The green for the runway end lights looks good though…

Be interesting to see this once in use

Will do.

What primer are you using?

I’m not, just straight on poster paint.

Being cheap, and just using my kids stuff.

I’ll try that on the next batch of white “lights”

Currently finishing x8 white “lights”, that will have a Red reverse…

What could they be for…?

A massive game of Othello

White emulsion would do it if you have any to hand

Nowadays you could probably get a brassard badge for that

Blue or bronze?

Silver

Well, that’s enough for that painting thing for tonight…

10 taxiway lights,
10 approach end / Rwy end lights
8 PAPIs with white, now drying. Will do the red reverse side tomorrow.

The rest will be all white for Rwy markings, approach lights, etc.

However, need to do some actual cadet admin now…

Taking something apart, with no idea what I’m doing.

Then, managing to put it back together, crucially with no missing parts, or spare parts left over at the end!

Use hamerrite paint.
Amazing on wood
Costly. But does a great job.

True.

Just wanting to keep the price down and use what I had.
